Audio Technica
Audio-Technica is a Japanese company known for designing and manufacturing top-tier audio equipment, including headphones, microphones, turntables, and mixers. My collaboration with Audio-Technica began in the summer of 2024 when Project Director Jacob Derwin reached out to me to create an iconic and unique piece of merchandise to complement their vinyl record setups and to celebrate their opening of a new location in SoHo, New York City.
This partnership was especially meaningful to me, as Audio-Technica gave me the creative freedom to illustrate without restraint. Their trust allowed me to bring my personal connection with music into the design process.

Slipmats Are For Spinning Not Skipping
This 12" slipmat is 2mm thick (+-0.5mm) and made from medium-density felt. It is glazed on the printed side, providing extra slip and rigidity while remaining silky smooth. The artwork serves as a homage to the Long Island punk and alternative bands that inspired Rinn growing up. There are seven Easter eggs in total, referencing various albums and lyrics to the early 2000s East Coast angst.
These limited Edition Premium Slipmats are on sale from October until December or until they sell out. Proceeds from the sale of this product are donated to ArtsConnection, a nationally recognized education nonprofit that, since 1979, has provided innovative arts programming to millions of students in the New York City public school system. Art and Music Exhibition
On October 5th, I was apart of Audio-Technica's unique collaboration space, TECHNICA HOUSE – New York, along side Madjeen Isaac, Yadi Liu, where our unique artwork that reflected the concept of "listening to your favorite track for the first time" was on display for alongside an Audio-Technica AT-LP70XBT turntable and ATH-M50xBT2, ATH-M20xBT, and ATH-S300BT wireless headphones at their opening event celebrating their new New York location. The event not only brought me and other artists together with Audio-Technica, celebrating the diverse backgrounds and sounds, but it also served as a benefit to ArtsConnection. This nationally recognized education non-profit offers arts programming to youth in New York City.
